Our CentricAir 2.7 whole house fan produces a powerful 2709 CFM (CA Title 24 Airflow) and requires about 3.25 sqft of net free attic ventilation and costs about $0.07 per hour to run and uses 288 WATTS of power. This energy-saving fan is designed to cool two story homes up to 1800 sqft and single story homes up to 1350 sqft.
This energy-saving whole house fan comes with an option of a single speed remote control with timer. You can also upgrade to our two-speed (Hi/Low) remote with timer & temp control or two speed HI/LOW wall switch and digital timer. Also available with select CentricAir energy-efficient house fans is our exclusive cold climate damper. (See Included & Upgrade Options Below)
IMPORTANT: All CFM ratings for CentricAir have been verified by an independent testing agency authorized by the State of California as meeting the strict CEC standard. When comparing CFM (airflow) ratings against similar style whole house fans, it is important to compare the certified airflow rating. This is the true apple to apples comparison.
The CentricAir 2.7 is a high quality, very powerful and ultra quiet alternative cooling solution. It uses a German engineered industrial grade fan motor that can provide 30% more power while using 1/3 less energy as compared to other industry standard fans.
These high-end industrial grade motors are built to last and are rated for approximately 40,000 hours of operation. The noise level is also really something to hear – or, actually not hear. At a very quiet 49 dBA on high, the 2.7 is whisper quiet. Every aspect of this system is built to a rigorous specification suitable to demanding industrial applications and is completely maintenance free.
The optional two speed remote control with timer is our most versatile remote control which features an LED display and 5 Timer Functions 1, 2, 4, 8 hours or ON. On high speed the system operates at a powerful 2709 CFM. Set to low speed the system provides a comfortable flow of air while maintaining a whisper quiet noise level.
A fundamental problem with traditional whole house fans was air leakage between the attic and living spaces. This could result in dirty attic air entering your home. The CentricAir 2.7 takes care of this problem with an ultra low leakage, maintenance free, industrial-quality damper. Silicone seals are provided to ensure sealing longevity; they also provide phenomenal resistance to weathering and changes in temperature. Silicone seals have an approximate service life of 30 years and remain flexible down to -40°F.
The German-engineered sealed motor and industrial grade damper never requires lubrication or maintenance of any type.

We’ve had the Centric Air attic fan for four years and we are still amazed at how quiet it is. Last year the switch/timer failed. (The one on the wall ) The fan would not stay on. Who knows how it was damaged. Anyway, I called Centric Air and described what was happening with the attic fan. Within a few days a new timer/on-off switch as well as the two speed select switch arrived at my home. I have experience with electrical maintenance and was able to replace the timer/on-off switch. The fan has worked flawlessly since replacing the switch. Centric Air did not charge me for the parts, which was the right thing to do. Thanks. I would highly recommend this attic fan and this company.

We ordered and installed our Centric Air whole house fan sometime in August or September of 2019, so by this time (July 2022) we’ve had a LOT of use and enjoyment from this fantastic whole house fan. Previously we had a whole house fan that sounded like a WWII airplane propeller, but the Centric Air 2.7 we now have is practically difficult to even hear running(!), but MASSIVELY helps the cooling of our home. Worth every cent it cost! VERY highly recommended, especially if (like us) your only cooling is from an evaporative cooling system (AKA: “swamp cooler”) which is one of the least costly means to cool a home in such a low humidity area like Denver.

It’s been a week now since I installed my CentricAir and I LOVE IT! Haven’t used AC once. I am so impressed with the build quality and the whole experience… even the packaging. What a great investment.
Thanks so much for making a great product.

I am extremely satisfied and impressed with the CentricAir 2.7 whole house fan. I am equally impressed with the customer service that I received prior to, and ultimately contributing to my decision to purchase this fan. I regret failing to install this fan immediately after purchasing our home five years earlier (March 2018). To date this summer has been the most comfortable and enjoyable summer I have experienced in our house and I look forward to the year around benefits this fan affords.
Install was straightforward and simple for customers with the confidence, aptitude, and required tools to complete the project. On the “low” setting the fan is virtually undetectable. On the “high” setting the fan is slightly more audible, on-par with the sound of a running residential A/C system. From the performance standpoint the fan’s introduction of fresh/cooler outdoor air is noticeable in a matter of minutes. When left to run for long duration/overnight the indoor temperature typically falls within 5-8 degrees of the ambient outdoor temperature.
Additional info.:
I purchased this fan for our 1,200 sq./ft., 115 y/o home near downtown San Diego. The house has no pre-existing no central air or heat.
My decision to purchase the CentricAir 2.7 over the QA-Deluxe model fan and/or competitor fans was decided by the following factors:
-Customer service
-Construction and energy efficiency of the German engineered fan
-Riveted construction of the damper box.
-Advertisement of the CentricAir fans using HVI-916 airflow standard.
Prior to purchase I messaged customer service via the “Contact Us” page on the website. I received a prompt reply from associate David G. who did a great job on answers my initial inquiry. A subsequent phone call with David G. clarified any remaining questions and solidified that CentricAir would be my choice should I proceed with the purchase of a whole house fan.
I performed the installation of the fan myself. In order to use the CentricAir fan appropriate for the size of our home I needed to install additional attic vents in the roof. I opted to have a professional roofer do this task.
Unfortunately I received a non-updated wireless 2-Speed control which delayed me from using the fan by a few days. However, kuddos to the customer service department who immediately shipped me a new/updated controller.
To summarize… outstanding product, outstanding construction, outstanding performance, outstanding customer service. Highly recommended to anyone living in an area that can enjoy the benefits of a whole house fan.
