CentricAir 4.0 energy-efficient whole house fan delivers a powerful 3921 CFM (HVI-916 certified airflow rating). It requires about 5.0 sqft of net free attic ventilation and costs about $0.12 per hour to operate. It uses 623 WATTS of power and is designed to cool 2-story homes up to 4400 sqft and 1-story homes up to 3000 sqft.
This 3921 CFM whole house fan comes with an option of a single speed remote control with timer. You can also upgrade your system with our two-speed (Hi/Low) remote with timer & temp control or two speed HI/LOW wall switch and digital timer. Also available with select CentricAir products is our exclusive cold climate damper. (See Included & Upgrade Options Below)
IMPORTANT: All CFM ratings for CentricAir have been verified by an independent testing agency authorized by the State of California as meeting the strict (HVI-916) standard. When comparing CFM (airflow) ratings against similar style whole house fans, it is important to compare the HVI-916 CFM certified airflow rating. This is the true apple to apples comparison. The CentricAir 4.0 is a high quality, very powerful and ultra quiet alternative cooling solution. It uses a German engineered industrial grade fan motor that can provide 30% power while using 1/3 less energy as compared to other industry standard fans.
These high-end industrial grade motors are built to last and are rated for approximately 40,000 hours of operation. The noise level is also really something to hear – or, actually not hear. At a very quiet 49 dBA on high, the 4.0 is very quiet. Every aspect of this system is built to a rigorous specification suitable to demanding industrial applications and is completely maintenance free.
A fundamental problem with traditional whole house fans was air leakage between the attic and living spaces. This could result in dirty attic air entering your home. The 4.0 takes care of this problem with an industrial-quality damper that is thermally insulated and maintenance free. Silicone seals are provided to ensure sealing longevity; they also provide phenomenal resistance to weathering and changes in temperature. Silicone seals have an approximate service life of 30 years and remain flexible down to -40 degrees F/C.
The CentricAir 4.0 comes with a high air flow register that reduces air movement noise through the register. These high-performance grills look great too, so your system looks as inconspicuous as it sounds.
The German-engineered sealed motor and damper never requires lubrication or maintenance of any type.

Wonderful service!! We ordered the fan on Thursday and arrived Monday morning. Just in time for our heatwave. I spent the day installing it and that night we tried it out for the first time. My wife was a happy camper because she could actually sleep and not hear the noise of the box fan in the window. At first she was skeptical about this fan and would it would work in our large house. Especially since our bedroom is upstairs where all the heat goes. She can’t believe that in under 30 minutes we can have the entire upstairs cooled off and then the downstairs in only a short time after. We don’t know why more people don’t install a system like this one. It is ten times better then air conditioning. With air conditioning you just get stale air blowing around not very good for your health. But with the Centric whole house fan it is fresh air from outside. We cannot wait to try it in the winter when the house needs a good airing out. Another positive about this product is that our energy bill will reasonable compared to if we had air conditioning. So as I said, this is an excellent product, great customer service and a must for every home that wants to stay cool in the summer and have healthy air to breathe.

The whole house fan I purchased was one of the best items I could have added to the home I am renovating. Like a lot of people, we have central air but nothing beats a fan that brings in the outdoor fresh air when it is appropriate. I have added a typical whole house fan to all of my previous homes but nothing compares to the Centric. The quiet operation is awesome. After about two years we experienced a problem. I called the Company. A real-life person answered and we were able to work through the issues. They sent me a new remote under warranty and the system is back up and running perfectly. What a joy not to have to deal with some stupid voice message tree with insane questions or a senseless bot wasting my time.

This fan is really nice. It’s noticeably quieter than my friends comparable QuietCool model and is a heavier duty design as well. And it does a great job of cooling off the house. I would definitely recommend the wired 2 speed wall switch(I also ordered separately: the handheld remote and outdoor temperature sensor so I could link them together). With this setup, everything is pretty automated and worry free.

I finished installing the 4.0 (R5) fan a couple of weeks ago, and I would like to let you know how pleased I am with the unit. It is amazingly quiet and very easy to operate. The system is so efficient that I usually only need to run it for less than an hor. The instructions were very easy to understand and the installation was quite easy; the only problems I encountered were with our house. It is really a well designed and high quality system that I would highly recommend to anyone.
